On Tuesday (30th Dec) Tim Gredley was interviewed live from his hotel in Barbados on the Chris Evans show on Radio 2. Use the controls above to listen to the interview.
This is a major equestrian coup, organised by Fizz, showing the rising popularity of the new personalities taking over the sport of Show Jumping.
Tim Gredley is typical of the new generation of personalities who are re-invigorating equestrian sport.
He has ridden for Team GB on numerous occasions and competed for GB at the World Equestrian Games in 2006 at just 20yrs old.
Proving himself unbeatable, Tim won the 2008 Munich Grand Prix on his twelve-year-old bay gelding Omelli. Jumping a foot perfect double clear, he took the win beating Germany's Carsten Otto Nagel.
Keeping the capacity crowds on the edge of their seats, Tim managed to bring home a whopping €45,000 in prize money. And not surprisingly he is also one of only 11 riders in the elite grouping of the BSJA.
In the last quarter of 2008 Tim's winning have been almost £100,000 with other big money wins coming from St Parlo grand finale of the global championships tour, 5th place in the Grand Prix riding Omelli, £25,000 at Spruce Meadows, Canada by winning the Nations Cup team, and £25,000 in Cannes for the Rolex Grand Prix, placing 4th and winning the prestigious top rider award.
